Your Role as a SEA-Teacher Partner

(All participating institutions must take on both sending and receiving roles in the exchange.)

As a Sending Institution:

  • Select and Prepare Student Teachers – Identify eligible students and ensure they meet the project’s qualifications.
  • Arrange Travel & Documentation – Support students with visas, airfare, travel insurance, and required paperwork.
  • Conduct Pre-Departure Training – Prepare students for cultural differences, teaching methodologies, and professional expectations.
  • Coordinate with Host Institutions – Finalise placements, practicum details, and student support logistics.

As a Receiving Institution:

  • Host Incoming Student Teachers – Provide accommodation support and airport pick-up.
  • Facilitate School Placements – Assign student teachers to schools, classrooms, and cooperating teachers.
  • Provide Mentorship & Peer Support – Assign faculty mentors and student buddies for academic and social guidance.
  • Monitor & Evaluate Student Performance – Conduct regular check-ins and submit evaluation reports.
  • Organise Wrap-Up & Reflection Sessions – Facilitate a structured session for students to share experiences and feedback.

By taking on both roles, institutions ensure a balanced, collaborative, and enriching exchange experience for all participants!
