Programme Structure
The student teachers have to follow four stages during one month of exchange programme. In this case, the receiving university is given the flexibility to be able to arrange a schedule that meets these four stages can be fulfilled within 4 weeks of the programme.

Sign & Find
Participating universities must sign a Letter of Agreement (LoA) under the coordination of SEAMEO Secretariat, agreeing on the implementation plan.
The sending universities are responsible for arranging airfare, meals/pocket money, international health insurance, and student visa/education visa/special student permit (if required) for outbound students.
The receiving universities will provide accommodation, airport transportation, placement in a practicum school, and assign mentors and buddies for inbound students. After completing the practicum, the teaching performance of student teachers will be evaluated by mentors and cooperating teachers using a SEAMEO evaluation form.
How to Participate
To officially join the project, universities must:
- Sign the Letter of Agreement (LoA) with SEAMEO Secretariat.
- Complete and submit the Institution Database form
- Create the profile page in B10 Institutions
- Find potential partners and announce your partnership through your profile page in B10 Institutions

Candidate selection
Universities indicate the number and major of study area of students that they want to send and receive with the potential partners through the application form. It shall be 2-side agreement meaning that they have to agree on the number and major of study area of sending and receiving students with each other.
Roles and Responsibilities
Receiving University
Pre-departure Procedure
- Determine the practicum schools that will provide opportunities for inbound students to do assisted teaching, teach (minimum 20 hours), and other arrangements as required by the SEAMEO Secretariat
- Coordinate with the sending universities for the arrangement of the online interview, letter of acceptance, and the pick up schedule of the inbound students
- Prepare for accommodation, transportation service from and to the nearest airport, mentor(s) and buddy(ies) for inbound students
- Send picture(s) of the dormitory/house/room that the inbound students will be staying
- Ensure that the inbound students apply international health insurance from their home country prior to their departure.
- Ensure or provide support in student visa/education visa/special student permit (SSP)(if required)
- Prepare learning programme/study plan in school/campus
Implement Student Exchange
- Arrange pick up service from the nearest airport
- Arrange appropriate accommodation for inbound students
- Provide an orientation/welcoming meeting
- Perform mentoring, monitoring and evaluation
- Evaluate the inbound students’ blogs
- Provide the educational/cultural activities or trips preferably during the weekend time.
Prepare Returning Home Programme
- Conduct wrap-up meeting with the participants
- Validate and approve the inbound student performance evaluation form by giving university’s stamp
- Submit the completed performance evaluation forms and blog evaluation of inbound students to partner universities as well as SEAMEO Secretariat via email at seateacher@seameo.org
- Send the inbound students to the nearest airport after the completion of 1-month practicum
Sending University
Selection of Participating Students
The criteria for selecting student teachers have to be worked out by participating universities themselves. Agreement on the number of student teachers’ exchange (send and receive) per university must be indicated in the Student Information Form.
Pre-Departure Procedure
- Identify the student teachers who will participate and ensure their readiness both physically and mentally
- Coordinate responsively with the SEAMEO Secretariat and the partner universities for the programme implementation
- Coordinate with the receiving universities for the arrangement of the online interview, letter of acceptance, transportation service to and from the nearest airport
- Provide support in arranging for the airfare, meals/pocket money, international health insurance, and student visa/education visa/special student permit (SSP)(if required) of the outbound students
- Assist and discuss lessons plan with receiving university of the outbound students
- Conduct pre-departure orientation for the outbound students about logistical arrangements, English language proficiency, and adaptation of different environments and cultures

Monitor programme implementation with the partner universities
Prepare Returning Home Programme
Arrange airport pick up transportation service
